110% chuffed!

Who'd have thought that a band as extreme as England's Napalm Death would be only a year or so short of making the 20 year mark? It's fitting that their fostering label Earache release a two CD set that serves as a best of as well as a collection of rarities. The first disc covers the bands Earache releases whereas the rarities span some time outside of their tenure with the UK label. Best of all is the inclusion of the Napalm Death Family Tree that shows the complete history of the band including all past and present members.

Thankfully this release isn't just "another best of". Whilst the first disc does fall into that category featuring a collection of classic cuts that span the history of the band from their debut Scum up until Words From The Exit Wound, it's the second disc that is the real kicker. Whilst some of it is previously available (the Death By Manipulation cuts), there's no shortage of rarities on here including Internal Animosity which was recorded for the insanely hard to find Pathological Sessions. Only a Napalm Death album could have 56 songs on it even if it's a two CD set. Regardless there's no doubt of the impact of this band who are considered founding fathers of the grindcore scene. For any metal head, fan or not - this is the definitive Napalm Death collection and a must in your CD collection.
